Stand

The story came just by itself. There is no exact country or state about which the story is.

I just hope, that there are no countries in situation as the country in the story is.

P.S. And through the ending of the story I wanted to say that when you want to do something, that is right, just, good and is not only intended to help you but to help someone besides you, you should stand for it and do it: even if you don’t succeed, someday someone will make those dreams and intentions come true.

He shouted out loud that the responsibility of the situation was upon the government.

The society he was living in had already got used to the shabby life it was leaving through. The life in a country with a dense population, criminal world and illegal actions was not an easy thing. The “government” would undertake some actions or arrange charities, but actually those things never helped the people, because those were just names under which illegal actions, lies, robberies were disguised! And all these things were done by the government!

All the residents were in the same situation: barely breathing, hardly making the both ends meet. And while people were striving to live, the politicians and rulers would enjoy their high-class furniture or brag about the clothes by famous designers they would wear!

But he was sick and tired. He wanted to change something, to make a better living! He was tired of the same everyday routine which made nothing better! He stood up for himself, his family and his society. He protested: everybody was shocked! They all, including him, knew what happened to those who stood up for their rights.

They arrested him, defining his actions as “illegal and dangerous”: what a buffoonery!! The only one that committed infringement was the same government that was arresting him! Nobody in their country had an identity card: this fact caused a great number of errors and iniquities! But, of course, the government, that was consisted of sole idlers, had done this by the purpose to fill their pockets!

He stood as a criminal and a lawbreaker before the court, but all those who were sitting before him were the real criminals! He shouted out during the trial and accused them: he accused them of making money on the people, accused them of making their country a “hole of criminals” that used the goods of their country just to fill their pockets and stomachs, accused them of taking the advantage of the people and enslaving them! Everybody was shocked: long time had passed since the last person had the courage to stand up and speak the truth!

The people stood up for him: he felt protected and more confident! He felt the breath of their good cultural traditions in the air: the people were united. Again and at last! The government took alarm and became anxious: but it also got scared of the unity of the people. The court decided to close his case by voting. He was set free fortunately, but nothing changed. He got back to his usual routine with the big hope for a change in the depth of his heart…

Many years later, when he was already a white haired man, the biggest revolution occurred that changed everything radically! Guess who was the revolutionary provoking the revolution? His grandson…
